Jenny Basie is a native of Clinton, South Carolina where she began piano lessons at the age of five. She graduated from Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in piano performance and completed her Masters of Music in piano performance and pedagogy at the University of Colorado, Boulder. In addition to teaching private piano lessons, Mrs. Basie has served as worship and choral accompanist at churches and military chapels in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. Mrs. Basie currently serves as piano accompanist for Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, playing for the traditional service, sanctuary choir, and youth choir. She and her husband Mike live in Fayetteville, and they have four daughters.
